Westbourne Squirrel. My new best friend.
1978 - “Rom The Space Knight” was created by Scott Dankman, Richard C. Levy, and Bryan L. McCoy and manufactured by Parker Brothers.
Apparently, the toy was supposed to be called COBOL after the programming language, but was changed to Rom after read-only memory “rom” by Parker Brothers.
While the toy wasn’t all that successful, it did spawn the 1979 comic book series which ran 75 issues from December 1979 to February 1986.
So I’m selling my house and went with Winkworth, because they seemed the best fit. Really happy with them.
Since listing both Dexters and Barnard Marcus has doorstepped me trying to poach business (something that I’ve been told is against the rules.)
I then received the above letter. I decided to correct it, and email it to the lady that wrote it, her Managing Director and the main Thamesview feedback email (just in case she missed it.)
This is even more entertaining when you know what the word Dexter means.
